I know that Virgin Mobile operates off of the Sprint network, and is also owned by Sprint, and a friend is going to sell me an HTC EVO 4G cheap, so I need to know if I can use it on Virgin Mobile. I am fine unlocking it if need be.
Hi.First make sure the phone is compatible for one of Virgin’s plans. If that is good to go then you would need to flash over the phone. Flashing is like unlocking…..There are companies out there that offer to flash/unlock the phone for you.

Yes after Unlock …….you can use the HTC EVO4G IN Virgin Network,,,,,You can use the Unlocked HTC mobile in GSM Network,Not in CDMA Network…I unlockedmy HTC EVO4G from AT&T now using in T-Mobile USA,I unlocked it here
